Question Suggestion: could we set up a wiki with a listing of hotels?

It just occurred to me that it is rather difficult to find a luxury hotel in a specific country/city in this forum by using search.

The answer to this (or at least one answer) would be to have a wiki where we could go by region (the Americas, APAC, EMEA), then country, then state/land, then city.

Example:
EMEA
AUSTRIA
Vienna

Hotel Sacher
Reviews:

Hotel Imperial
Reviews:

GERMANY
Bavaria
Munich

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten
Reviews:

APAC
Japan
Tokyo

Park Hyatt

Great start but without integration to FlyerTalk, i.e. with a permanent link on the luxury forum page, people may not go to it regularly.

Sure, but I think you'd have to have a substantial amount of content there before that happened....

Not necessarily. The purpose of linking to the wiki would be as much about getting content as having it as a resource with content.

We did a similar wiki in the BMW European Delivery forum and it started out with just a few entries and now has fairly extensive coverage and information.

If we hadn't embedded it into Vbulletin with the same user name and pw, it would not have worked nearly as well.
