Not sure how you can make the scheme 'easier' when Sirius is the only scheme which puts EVERY room category up for redemption at attractive rates - hence the 9 nights we had at DAM in a very expensive suite, for free. Annoying October half term was not redeemable last time I checked, looks like I need to lock it in as soon as I see it.
Our one night at Creekside last week didn't meet expectations.... Will be avoiding it for holidays. Doesn't compare to JET in our opinion for one night stays either. Yes it was cheap.. But it isnt something we will rush to do again.

With regards to Sirius... The website does appear to be more customer friendly this week for booking redemptions and giving info on peak and super peak dates. More transparent. Maybe that's the change... Let's see......,

Hi Raffles,

What happened at Creekside that made it a nightmare? I have the family booked there for two 4 day stays in May (traveling to Oman between stays.) We are really hoping for a good vacation and if we need to consider another hotel it would be good to know. We are, however, budget limited to the $200 range, so no Medinat for us, I'm afraid.

Because they will give you Wild Wadi passes (cash price is £200 / $300 for a family of 4) and a beach pass, you shouldn't cancel without some thought. However ....

They started off by losing our luggage for 2 hours.

However, the key issue is that they hold weddings on the lawn outside the hotel. You have thumping music - really thumping - until 1am. Sleep is not possible.

Even when there is no wedding, you will disturbed by the live bands that play outside at the irish pub opposite the hotel. However, to be fair, that is just annoying rather than sleep destroying and you can drop off. Not so with weddings.

Almost all of the rooms overlook the lawns and pub so you cannot avoid the noise. I imagine Sun-Wed are quieter.

Don't let them fob you off with a beach pass for Zabeel on the Palm either. Great beach (and good hotel) but the shuttle bus takes an hour and doesn't run often. A taxi would be 40 minutes and probably £30 each way.

You are better off in Emirates Towers if the prices are similar, far higher quality hotel, similar sized pool (bit smaller but not much), better quality breakfast, higher class crowd and nearer to Wild Wadi and the Palm if you end up at Zabeel. They are more likely to let you use Madinat or Jumeirah Beach though.

Creekside does have an good lounge if you have a club room. They are also doing 241 deals on suites if you search for chunks of 2 days which may be the same price as you are paying for a standard room. Suite includes club access. Only downside of a suite is that, because of the shape of the hotel, they are the nearest rooms to the irish pub!

The whole hotel is just odd. It is hard to believe that Jumeirah is capable of running something as badly as this is run - they should stick to five star hotels.

I stayed at Creekside late last year for a business trip and had quite the opposite experience. I was in a deluxe room (upgraded on check in) overlooking the pool / Irish quarter. I wasn't disturbed by any noise (and I'm a light sleeper).

I found the whole hotel to be quite relaxing (especially the pool area) and thought the breakfast was particularly good. The staff were nice enough and welcoming....but not quite up to the standard of the H where I stayed for another recent trip.

The free water park pass came in handy an afternoon off that I had too. I used their free mini bus to get there.

I agree that the hotel is more business than pleasure, but I enjoyed my stay so much that my other half and might book in when we're there on holiday later this year.

But you can get the water park passes and a similar sized pool at Emirates Towers which is a substantially better hotel in every repect.

Been monitoring this thread a little bit before we booked another trip to Dubai for next February. In the UK we often see 'Free Half Board' and room discount offers that are far superior to the Jumeirah prices online or through their call centres, but these involve booking through travel agents. We successfully managed to get Jumeirah to apply their best price guarantee in some form and match the travel agent price (quoted at 25% off and free half board) which means booking direct, a more generous cancellation policy etc and also no Amex fee that I am aware of.

I'm sure there are better discounts out there if you look for them, but these seem fairly hard to find/come by and we don't have accounts with any specialist agents.

Jumeirah discounts massively to travel agents if they package the rooms with a flight. I have a friend who has an agent who is willing to bend the rules and let him have rooms direct and the prices are very good.

(That said, with Madinat starting at £500 per night during most school holidays you will still be paying through the nose. Looking at the women who stay there when we are in residence, I'm delighted to say that they are certainly not discounting much :-))

Can someone recommend a travel agent to help book the Jumeirah Beach Hotel at a discount?

ISME by Jumeirah

Jumeirah have launched a new membership program called ISME by Jumeirah and it appears to be very interesting if you stay in their properties frequently - I have just joined up to the Elite status.

It is mobile app based (Android or iOS). Two levels of membership, basic(free) and Elite (3900Dhs per year).

It does not replace Sirius and is for the UAE only, though you don't have to be a UAE resident to join.

Both tiers provide many benefits by using your app. Hotel discounts, food discounts and so on.

The Elite status is very interesting, here are the main headlines:-
25% off standard rooms booked on Best Available rate. Unlimited.
20% off food.
One free hotel night in a beach property such as Madinat/JBH (waiting for the full list for obvious reasons )
One free hotel night in a city property such as JET.
Some free meals for two.
Lots of discounted offers.
Vouchers for free Exec Club entrance and Beach passes.

So if you stay in Dubai a lot, you could easily find value of the almost £800 cost of the Elite membership.

Any experience with the above? The price has increased since then to AED 4900. Can you actually combine free night booking with your multi-day booking and still hope to use the upgrade voucher at check in? How strict they are in upgrading to next room category, so if it's not available, no upgrades or they will go extra mile to give you even better room? Also what about combining the free night with Jumeirah Flavours booking, is it possible?

I understand Al Naseem should also be mentioned there as a part of Madinat complex, probably ISME website has not bee updated yet.

I will definitely renew my ISME Elite membership. Everything promised was delivered without any issue. Yes you can book a free night as part of a paid booking. My free nights were taken at JET and DAM in peak season with no problems. That in itself paid the membership fee. Then 25% discount off the fully flex BAR rates saved me quite a bit too.

If you are asking if the Elite discount is available off Suites etc then the answer is yes.

What the discount won't work with is the rates including half board etc.. basically the discount is off BAR rates only, not Breakfast or Summer Flavours etc. However Sirius premium status benefits are also honoured so you still get your breakfast, exec lounge, chauffeur if you are an eligible Sirius member.
