Of course, I remember the Park Hyatt rumor about this hotel too.
As of July 1st, 2015, the hotel is still listed on LHW too:

Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort Mauritius to Open in November
http://www.luxurytraveladvisor.com/e...november-15560
There was lots of new luxury hotel buzz at Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas. One of the hotels we’re most excited about is the Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort & Spa - which is scheduled to open on November 1 in Mauritius after a major renovation project. The legendary resort was closed earlier this spring, and will now be reflagged as the Shangri-La brand assumes management.

I agree. They are certainly aggressive. It's not impossible for them to execute this expansion well, but it's certainly a challenge. I don't stay with Rosewood often, but from time to time I've tried their hotels going back to the late 90's. Never a bad stay.

Has anyone here on FT stayed at the Canouan Resort?
Would be interesting to hear some feedback from someone who has stayed there.
