Bit of both. There is an increasing fine dining trend in Bangkok (although it isn't quite as good as in some other cities).

But for me, the best food in Bangkok is still found on the streets or in tiny family style restaurants in little alleys.

The DRC tasting for $1095 looks like a good deal, knowing how overpriced that wine generally is. Hopefully they have prepared it properly for the voyage. Burgundy is best consumed in Burgundy of course.

The location on Via Veneto puts the hotel very close to several other luxury/close to luxury properties in Rome. Rome certainly needs this as it is very difficult to find a good place to stay in Rome at many times of the year now and prices tend to soar to some of the highest levels in Europe. Given that they need to also evict the current tenants- I would say 2017 is extremely optimistic as an opening schedule.

Well, they actually took the whole night off our room bill, sent the truffles and asked us to have our next dinner on them. WOW, we were astounded! All tolled, the dollar figure was about $1800-2000. Our room was $1,000 plus tax and all the extra taxes we get soaked for in Hawaii, the meal was roughly $550 with a nice bottle of wine they sent to our table

TRAVELSIG, wouldn't be ideal the current palace of CNEL institution, finally on its way to dismissal?
Rumors point to the direction of a luxury hotel.

The Fashion World is Boycotting The Dorchester Collection of Hotels

The Dorchester Collection hotel group is coming under fire from the fashion world and it could mean the loss of some very high-profile, and high-paying, guests.

The LA Times reports that the owner of the luxury hotel collection is the Brunei Investment Agency, an extension of the Brunei government just upped the penalty for being a homosexual from 10 years in prison to death by stoning.

This topic has already had its own thread, which moved to Omni. Suggest we resist further discussion of the topic here.
