Best hotel in SoBe (Miami Beach, Florida)?

Going for a quick trip to SoBe with a friend. Currently booked @ Ritz SoBe.
Is this a solid choice or can we do better ?
Plan to spend couple fo days on the beach, good food, service and some nightlife around.

Thanks,

El Puerco Volante

SoBe = South Beach? Maybe southern Belgium? Southeastern Belgrade? South of Beijing?

Ritz or W are okay, on the beach and has beach chairs / umbrellas. But standard cookie cutter hotels. I liked the Tides a lot but it's no longer a Virtuoso property. Or maybe I booked via FHR, I forgot. Did not like SLS.

Thanks Military Spouse Preference Economist, I upvote this as the most helpful post on this board. Do the southern areas of the those three places you mentioned have beaches?

Seriously though, someone who's made 60k+ posts here seriously doesn't know what SoBe is? Not even when OP mentions beach, and a nearby Ritz? And yet has the time to find what other possible things SoBe could stand for?

Well, I didn't know either until someone mentioned the Tides hotel, which I googled. Googling "SoBe" gets me references to a soft drink company.

Some people don't know, but those people like you didn't wave your not knowing proudly, or mockingly if ignorance was not genuine.

I'm with TF on this one.

But to the OP, have you tried searching first? SoBe/Miami hotels have been covered here extensively.

Pierre&Cédric said it best... Faena! Although, dare I say... I'm also comfortable at The Raleigh. Problem with South Beach is people just don't work or hate to work... I don't even bother expecting a great stay.
