I have just arrived from a weekend stay in Rosewood London. Unfortunately there were many service issues happened during the stay mainly with housekeeping. First day guest service completely ignored the requests like ice bucket, extra European adapters, bath salt etc. even after many calls. We gave up and left for dinner, recovered with an another bottle of champagne since the first bottle was warm and ruined while waiting for ice, and a round of drinks at their excellent Scarfes bar, bath salt provided a day later, adapters didn't appear even. Second day restaurant issues at their Holborn dining room, wrong wine, over cooked meat, confused orders; again recovered by deleting all f&b charges. Last day we invited a friend for the breakfast at mirror room, again many mistakes.. key defunctioned due to late checkout but never worked again after 4 visits to the reception up and down.
At check-out had a short talk with the director of the guest relations and was invited for a comp night for the next visit as I'll be travelling every month...
I enjoyed the rest, it is a beautiful place, but unfortunately was disturbed many times.
I may give a second chance next month.

The last time I went to The Rosewood was for a business meeting back in February or March. The person I was with was sat facing the kitchen entrance and suddenly had a look of shock on his face. Just a few seconds later and staff were running out of the kitchen. It turned out a mouse was in there and they were chasing it. Strangely I have not been back since.

Is it a large mouse?

Anyone stay in the Executive Room at the FS London 10 Trinity?

Thinking of booking one today for a stay tomorrow. Tried Airbnb for the first time, and it's not for me. Want to check into a hotel for the remainder of the trip.

Did you become a member?

I've thought about applying (they didn't invite me ), though I am not sure I/my friends are in the City enough to make it worth it.

Rejected an invite to join another club last year for the same reason but the Ned seems...well.. "special".

It was fully booked on opening night, so I stayed in a Deluxe King, but here are some pics when I had a walk around the next day. I would definitely give it a go.

I've booked a client there in a Premier and upgraded to an Executive. Their stay is in June so I do not have feedback yet. However, we struggled with Executive Room's single window but ultimately, decided to upgrade into that room anyway as my onsite contact assured it's a superior room to Premier.

Your FS TA should be able to get you an upgrade at booking, right now. So as MacMyDay said, "give it a go!" ... and report back here, please

FS 10 Trinity:

The facade of the building is stunning, and when you pull up, the door man comes running to your car with an umbrella to protect you from the faintest drizzle.

The signature fragrance piped through the vents is sublime, and it is not overpowering like in some hotels (Madinat Al Qasr, I'm looking at you!). The lobby is impressive and the room is also very large for London standards (550 sq ft or so). The bathroom is gorgeous and the closet space is large as well.

I like the technology in the room, as well as the furnishings. The hotel is bloody quiet and almost tomb-like, for those that appreciate that sort of thing. I personally prefer hotels with a bit of life and buzz.

I think it's a great place if you're traveling solo or as a couple, not so much if you're with a family.

The Exec Room is very dark! It is a larger room, but with the single window and dark furnishings, it feels a bit depressing. If you don't need the space, I would go with the Premier.

Hopefully a chemical-free fragrance (read: essential oils), which is entirely achievable and NOT Madinat Al Qasr style, which may qualify as a health threat for guests and staff.

As the evolution of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London continues...

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London to unveil first renovated rooms and suites in August

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London will unveil the first phase of a far-reaching renovation on 1 August 2017, with the re-opening of the Knightsbridge-facing guest rooms and suites. Following the reveal of a dramatic new lobby entrance and reception area in January, the guest rooms and suites are now more luxurious and comfortable than ever before, encompassing details inspired by the building’s Edwardian heritage and the natural beauty of Hyde Park.

Internationally renowned interior designer, Joyce Wang, commissioned to oversee the design concept, sought inspiration from the royal park, and was influenced by the glamour of the early 20th century’s Golden Age of travel. These include curated artworks and custom-designed furniture that together create a warm and inviting environment in each of the rooms and suites.

They were not piping any fragrance through the vents when I stayed at 10 Trinity! I hate it when they do this. Let's hope it was just the smell of flowers in the porte cochère.
