Looking for Luxury Hotel in Buenos Aires

I'm going to Buenos Aires in February. I'm looking for the best hotel. Room is very important but also restaurant quality. Especially breakfast quality. Suggestions, please?

I agree completely that the Park Hyatt is the best hotel in B.A. The traditional choice is eh Alvear Palace but I find the rooms inconsistent and the decor a bit too precious. The PH is spectacular. Make sure you get a room overlooking the gardens.

I haven't stayed at the PH, but the Park Tower has its fans here, too, including me. My review is here, which includes a review of the restaurant at the PH. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/luxur...-santiago.html

You might take a look at the Four Seasons as well. Rather nice property fantastic service and excellent rooms. And breakfast is pretty darn good.

Another vote for the Par Hyatt. i would also recommend to stay in the mansion as opposed to the new tower. Hard wood floors and high ceilings with huge windows overlooking the gardens.

The Four Seasons was a great during our stay in 2007, although nothing over the top. The PH was just being built at that time, but looks great from all the reviews. Another new, unique property opening sometime in 2010 is the Algodon Mansion:

The PH doesn't have an outside pool does it? That would put me off.

I would say the Four Seasons is the way to go.
Being a local I know their service is top notch and they have a great breakfast I´ve tried for business meetings with visitors from abroad.

I do not know the Park Hyatt being so new.
PM if there is anything I can help with.

Park Hyatt (in Mansion wing) or Four Seasons (which has a very good outdoor pool and the best brunch in town). Avoid Alvear Palace at all cost, although its breakfast buffet is quite good.

For once, it deserves every one of those reviews.

The Park Hyatt is on Avenida Alvear, a grand total of two seconds from the Alvear Palace (not that FS is much farther either). It is arguably my favorite city hotel in the world.
