Interesting!

This confirms previous reports that sometimes both bogner & rimowa kits are loaded on the same plane.

It wasn't especially amazing when I got it...but if you're excited about it, you should try to pick one up on eBay

It just proves they are trying to get rid of whatever is left during March, April and May.

You overestimate FAs' knowledge of LH's product.

Well, I just couldn't help myself.

I needed to fly HKG-SFO either tomorrow or the next day, and first class award space on LH operated a380s from HKG-FRA and FRA-SFO both opened up which fit my timetable and also gave me a 5 hour layover to explore the FCLs & the FCT.

I just booked it for 130k united miles + $134.

Some might call it a poor use of miles (got a value of roughly $.085/point at today's price for those tickets), as there are certainly more "frugal" ways I could have used to get to SFO, but I have to say I'm practically giddy with excitement to fly two back to back 11-12 hour segments in LH a380 1st for the first time, not to mention having a few hours to bask in the glow of the FCT.

Will report here as to the current amenity kit & ducky situation!

Enjoy! And let us know about the duck and kit situation---most people here are probably more interested in that than any sightings of the Aurora Borealis . While you're at it, you can report on the Champagne too.

PS that looks like pretty good usage of miles to me. What else could you do with these points that would generate as much fun?

Well, I could've spent just 80k chase UR to transfer to Korean Air for KE 1st HKG-ICN on a 777-300ER and ICN-SFO on their new 747-8i with the kosmo 2.0 suites, saving myself a cool 50k in miles.

While certainly a far more "frugal" option, I fly Korean frequently and have been wanting to experience LH 1st for quite some time now, so I splurged.
