I remember, that when you leave to the US and CAN, you have to go through the special security check area (in T2S when leaving from L23-L30)
https://navigation.munich-airport.de...-0.13&fov=50.0
where they ask for the boarding pass, passport and screen the handluggage and the same happens in T2 on H level

Yes, they do check passport and boarding pass, but hand luggage screening is not for everybody. I don't know if it's random or depends on your passport, but I've never had to go through luggage screening at that check.

45min is within MCT in MUC and it's a very efficient airport. If on one ticket, I would have no issues. If you are on 2 separate tickets, you may want to leave more time btw the 2 flights just in case.

Recently I arrived at the main terminal from CPT. Walking to the (at that moment empty) security check (where is was the first passenger) and going to FCL where I made passport control took less than 10 minutes.
As you will arrive from the US, you will normally not have to pass security check.
You can use the FCL as arriving LH F pax.

So, now I am flying from IAD to MUC in in UA F. I have a 1.5 hour connection before continuing to ATH in LH economy. What lounge access do I get? I also have a United Club card

If your itin is booked on a single ticket the Senator Lounge will be your best option. Depending on whether your flight to ATH leaves from G or from K I would pick the lounge closest to your departing gate. If you happen to travel on separate tickets you might get stuck in the Business Lounge (G or K).

arriving QR non Schengen T1, connecting LH Schengen T2, carry on only.
I understand there is a shuttle bus service T1-T2

but looking at the map in the link it is not clear to me if from a non Schengen T1 bus stop I can disembark at a Schengen T2 bus stop.

You can go by bus from non-schengen T1 to non-schengen T2 and go through passport control at T2, or you can go through passport control at T1 and afterwards you can go by bus from schengen T1 to schengen T2!
But as you arrive from an unclean destination anyway, you have to go through security and so you could walk from T1 to T2 and enjoy your transit at the Airbräu beergarden ;-)

Having 2 hours between the flights, the Airbräu option seems the best one

55 minute connection
Hi,
Sometime later this year, we'll be flying to BOM with a connection in MUC. The routing is as follows, all booked on the same itinerary:
NUE-MUC, Arriving 10:30 (CRJ 900, LH Cityline)
55 Min Connection
MUC-BOM, Departing 11:25 (A350, LH)
Judging from the other posts in the thread, this seems like a normal connection - but two things have got me worried
Thanks!^

- The CRJ seems to always use a bus gate, so I'll get to the terminal later
- I don't have a biometric passport (mine's non-EU) so I'm not sure if passport control will have long lines
Thanks!^

And most likely your flight to BOM will leave from the satellite (L Gate)
My recommendation:
After you are dropped of by the bus use the train shuttle to the satellite within the Schengen area (follow signs pointing 'K Gates'). After leaving the shuttle follow signs to L Gates and do passport control here.

yes, if you get a CRJ it will be defintely a remote stand and arrival by bus.
