If I don't know an airport code I go to this site and put the code in, say in this case putting MUC in the first field and CLJ in the second. This will also give schedules between any two points. That way I can see it us Cluj in Romania. It is better to check the "Show all flights " box. The site has improved somewhat in recent months:

You're right, I didn't put enough thought into the re-checking process at CDG, as the lines can be quite bad. Perhaps it makes more sense to book a later flight out of MUC, spend the night at the Sheraton at CDG, and then fly out to BES or train up to Brittany the following morning. It seems like that is the safest, least stressful option for me.
However, there's also an option to have a 15 hour layover in MUC, which could be great to see Munich as I haven't been there in 5 years. Does LH provide a hotel for an overnight layover? I remember there being a pretty nice Kempinski that I stayed at years ago in MUC...I'll be flying in Biz if that matters.

Great, thanks for the info. With re-checking my luggage and everything in CDG, I think it makes sense to book the 4+ hour layover in MUC and get into Paris at 11PM, spend the night there, and fly out the following morning. Appreciate all the info.

No hotels paid if you book it this way. This isnt TK or EK
I would definitely NOT do a 40min connection in MUC if i had another flight on a separate ticket depending on it. Luggage or no luggage.. a small delay happens easily and then you are out of luck.

Thanks, I made a DUB-MUC-CLJ with 50 minutes connection time with carry on but had to "walk fast" a little bit. No worried about passport control because I have an electronic passport and also as far as I remember there is none for H terminal where CLJ often departs from. I will have checked luggage this time and also I am not really bound to arrive in Cluj that night, they need to rebook us if anything happens, I bank on the fact that there are going to be 4 of us and maybe they will wait for us if a delay happens.
Oh, and CLJ is Cluj-Napoca

Made a DUB-MUC-CLJ flight with 50 minutes with bus deplane and bus departure but with a carry on and a bit o "fast walking". Not sure about checked luggage but since I will be arriving home I don't really depend on it 100%. I am just a bit concerned that delays can appear due to weather especially now but MUC is a pretty friendly airport for connections(cannot say the same about Frankfurt) and I just hope they will wait for us is something happens

Need advice about connection in MUC
We are flying LH BOS-MUC-ATH with a 5 hr. layover. We have the option to connect to an Aegean flight with a 1 hr. 10 mn. layover instead. All business. We like the idea of getting to our destination earlier, but is this new connection time too tight for Munich?
Thanks.
Thanks.

70 minutes for a connection in Munich should not be a problem even if your incoming flight is a little late (up to 30-40 delay and it should still be doable.) Even checked luggage is very likely to make the connection. Also, why not just book the earlier flight? Depending on your ticket, you would probably be rebooked onto the later flight in case you miss your earlier connection. If booked on one ticket, I would always book the tightest connection available if there is a later flight.

Not so much connecting as having an overnight stop-over on an MAN-MUC, MUC-CAI itinerary; LH & MS respectively for the segments.
Already booked into the airport Hilton & hoping to be able to hop on the S-Bahn for a quick look at Munich; only have to figure out whether the hotel is accessible without having to go outside & wander the roads around the airport with your luggage.
The one thing flight related I need to know is what sort of time scale am I best planning for, with having to check-in (flying J), clear security, pop to the lounge & get to a gate. In theory, I can use OLCI & a bag drop to save time, but I'll have no access to a printer, for the boarding pass.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

The only time I saw a line at MUC was in the morning (~10AM) when there are a number of flights to Asia departing. Showing up at checkin one hour before boarding should be enough, 90 minutes if you are the worrisome type.

The MUC Hilton is defacto part of the T2 terminal complex.

Cheers for that information. I'd read horror stories of over-zealous security staff at MUC causing PAX to nearly miss flights, on Skytrax, when having to pass from landside - airside & the Bing Maps satellite shot of the hotel appears to show no actual connection between it & T2.
With luck I'll be off the MAN-MUC flight, in the hotel room & off to see how southern Germany compares to the northern part of the country in no time at all.

Here in the states flights are always late and oversold. When you miss your connection, you're in trouble.

Thanks for this. It's an award ticket but if we miss our connection, presumably they would rebook us...even though we could lose our business class seats. Does going from LH to Aegean cause any concern? How far apart are the gates? And would we have to claim and recheck our luggage?
As long as your luggage is tagged all the way to Greece you don't have to worry. Of course changing an award ticket means that availability is there for the earlier flight, which might not always be the case.
Honestly, with a 5h layover, you might just take it easy and go for a short stroll in Marienplatz. 1h to the center, 1h back, 1h walk + beer + sausage at Hofbräuhaus and you still have time to spare.
