A380 route proving with LH

From Flight International: (http://www.flightglobal.com/Articles...+approach.html)

Some 300h of route proving is a regulatory requirement for type certification “to demonstrate the maturity of the aircraft in an airline environment”, Lelaie says. These flights will be operated over a period of around four weeks with co-operation from A380 customers Lufthansa and SIA. “We can perform the route-proving without anybody in the cabin, but we have asked both companies to have a sufficient number of flights with a full passenger load to check how the cabin is performing,” says Lelaie.

Does that mean they just change the equipment on regular flights? Would be great to find an A380 waiting for me at the gate....

Has anybody any more information on this?

im guessing they would use employees, as they probably legally cannot use an uncertified aircraft in regular passenger service...

Or maybe send email out to flyertalk, airliners.net and other places where people would sell their grandmothers to be the first to ride on A380s .. asking for volunteers

The first tests were already held in Finkenwerder more than 2 months ago.

Three class A 380 ( on both decks... ! ) with Airbus employees and LH crew simulating a 5 or 6 six hour test flight. So we are talking about LH and SIA crew + some supervisors standing around here and there watching how it goes, but ( AFAIK ) no FT volunteers.

LH personel had to sign that they will keep everything confidential...
