LH CityLine query -- OLCI problem, baggage allowance, ....
Trying to check in a friend on LHR-FRA-SJC, 016 ticket. FRA-SJC is a UA codeshare operated by LH Cityline and predictably isn't allowing OLCI (though LHR-FRA checks in just fine).
2 questions:
1) Is this a sort-at-airport deal? I presume it's not possible to OLCI the tatl segment -- I tried both LH PNRs that the UA res shows plus the ticket #, and they all only pull up LHR-FRA for check-in.
2) Any notable restrictions on Cityline esp. in the baggage department? Looks like no, but the most recent data I could find on FT is over a year old.
Thanks in advance

LH Cityline is a Lufthansa subsidiary. Odd that you cannot check in. Are you trying to check in with the LH PNR on the LH website?
No unusual baggage restrictions.

Yeah, weird. One PNR shows me LHR-FRA, the other FRA-SJC, but hitting the olci button for either takes me to check-in for LHR-FRA only.

I recently flew ORD-FRA-NUE and was not able to check in for the LH CityLine segment until I was at the airport. At ORD they could still not change my seat, but once I was at FRA the LH staff was able to give me a better seat.
I was able to bring a carryon-sized roller bag and a backpack on board.

- The OLCI starts in the 23 hours window of FRA departure for the second leg.
- Your are not covered in case of delay of the LHR-FRA leg
