award avail but no seat open?
An award just came available (Lh453 5/17 Business). But lufthansa.com shows all business seats taken. Does anyone know what that means? Would I be relying on someone not showing up? And then what would happen if everyone shows?
thanks in advance,

I see that lufthansa.com shows all seats occupied, but expertflyer shows all either occupied or "blocked". So I take it this would mean that, if I took that award, I could not get a seat assigned until the last minute?

If you can book the award ticket, you will get a seat at check-in, for sure. Some seats are blocked and will be released for check-in, most likely also for OLCI. So rest assured that you will get on that flight if you book a ticket.
The seat map does not show all seats available as you can't see if a seat is assigned to someone or just blocked.

You will get a seat when check-in is possible. If you want to get on that flight book the ticket and don't worry about the seat. You will be fine in any seat in business class.

LH.com is still selling 3 seats in Business. I'd grab one quickly and note that OLCI often starts well before T-23.
