MIA-VIE-FLR, MIA-FRA-FLR, or MIA-ZRH-FLR in C?

Planning ahead for a trip to Italy (FLR, preferably) and looking at routing for business class tickets. At this point, my inclination is toward Swiss, Austrian, or Lufthansa. I've flown Lufthansa via Frankfurt in the past, but only in F so I really don't have a basis for comparison (and would probably typically tend to avoid FRA.) Pricing is fairly similar. Any major differences likely to come into play by the latter part of next year in terms hard product? (Wish F weren't so much more!)

Thanks.

Did you check Tripreports in C on LX, LH and OS to make an opinion by yourself?

Yes, actually. Plus I've flown myself in C on the Swiss and Austrian flights to Zurich and Vienna a couple of times so I have my own opinions. (I thought both were very good). Any reason to choose Lufthansa over either? And as I said, are there any changes expected over the next year that anyone is aware of?

OS still has the best food (although not as good as in the past), LX has better seat, VIE is the easiest airport for connections, LH flight is a bit short for good night sleep.

I would choose between LX and OS.

Seat: LX > OS >> LH
Food: OS > LX > LH
Service: OS = LX > LH
Connection: VIE >> ZRH > FRA
Flight duration (for sleeping): OS = LX > LH

My personal preference would be OS, because I have a bias against ZRH (just do not like it, but it is not a bad airport) and a preference for 777 (OS) vs A330 (LX). I have a slight preference for LX seat, but OS seat is perfectly comfortable for sleeping.

I see your point, but FRA is 4820 miles from MIA, ZRH is 4870 and VIE 5210. Therefore, the correct summary should be

Flight duration (for sleeping): OS > ZRH = LH

I don't count really 50 miles difference between ZRH and FRA.

Good point.

LH 5:00 pm...7:50 am = 8h 50m
LX 5:00 pm...8:05 am = 9h 5m
OS 5:00 pm...8:45 am = 9h 45m

MIA FRA in C is on 380, but with regular catering and old C.
OS very old 777 but excellent catering, regular seats 2-3-2
LX excellent layout 1-2-2, 2-2-1, 1-2-2..., good service and food.
I would definitely go for LX. But check for connections and times, that is sometimes important.

Cheers

Have you recently flown an OS 777 with 2-3-2 seating?

Exactly

It is 1-2-1 or 2-2-2 depending on the row.

Single 'throne' seats are the best.
