4D is the one seat very much preferred by many single travellers, and also by me. I do not understand the obession with the upper deck. Some call it "private", I call it cramped. In the 744 nose, you have the wider cabin of the main deck combined with an even smaller cabin (22 on upper deck vs. 17 in the nose).

Not to mention only one toilet for up to 22 passengers.

Thank you all. As a solo traveller I think 4D might work better for me. In case I don't like it I'll ask them to see if I can move to another seat that has no stranger beside me.

What is the lounge for biz class in Stockholm and Frankfurt? If there are several options, could you suggest which one to use for me?

Why is the seat map then showing two toilets for the upper deck?

The one in the front is for crew use only. There used to be another one at the top of the stairs (similar to the 748i) but it was removed to add a couple more seats (86H/K).

The old 744 upper deck

In Stockholm the SAS Business Lounge. In Frankfurt the Business Lounge between the duty free shop and gate Z50 (shares the entrance with the Senator Lounge).

Hello FTers, does anyone know if the 744s that service this route has the old or new J product?

Thanks.

Are you sure? See below. Some 744s will be retired and won't be getting the new business product.

I believe the ones that were being retired had the F too - and those are all gone.

According to this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/lufth...outes-etc.html All of the 744's (13/13) are done. We need NewbieRunner to confirm if you want to know for sure.

Guys
These flights LH6676/89 are Air Canada codeshare flights, so they have AC Business Class product. Not LH's.

Did you call?

Flights numbers in the LH6xxx range are codeshare flights. LH6676 and LH6789 are both Air Canada flights: AC873 FRA-YYZ and AC872 YYZ-FRA respectively.

You should check with Air Canada or in the Air Canada forum about their J product.

Although this is not relevant to the OP's question, all 13 remaining LH 744s have been turned into three-class (Economy, Premium Economy & Business) aircraft without First.
