Where will LH be taking you for Christmas?
It's this time of year again and I have to ask the same question again:
Where will LH be taking you this Christmas? (Provided they won't be on strike again!)

VIE-MUC-HND with LH and back HND-FRA-SZG with NH. I wanted to try out Premium Economy on both NH and LH. In retrospect I probably should have chosen NH all the way...

After several years of avoiding LH, I caved in and booked the family to Hong Kong a very favorable (i.e. mistake) fare to Hong Kong. The rest of the trip will be spent bumming around the Philippines after burning my remaining Avios.
With that being said, I am secretly hoping for a strike so that I can be switched to another flight that may actually earn some miles when crediting to SK or A3.
I take it that Rambuster will be happily spending Christmas at home with the family?

Nowhere. I am on VLM Airlines this Christmas, and I just completed my last Transatlantic on airberlin (their business class is excellent). The closest I'll get to LH is a couple of flights in January on LG. Otherwise upcoming shorthaul flights are on U2 and longhaul on VS. It's surprisingly easy to avoid LH, depending on where you are in Europe, thanks to the germanwings hegemony these days. I may end back up on LH next year sometime, but I'm not planning it specially.

Two tickets round trip in F to Male, with 4 days all included in Six senses laamu ... but i think they don't fly that route, so i guess i will settle for a tour of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe.
