Rationalisations. In their purest form. But I am not blaming you guys for your sense of entitlement, I blame LH for living up to it.

No wonder all those lowly SENs also suffer from the delusion that they are entitled to board the plane past the last call. They learn from their big brethren.

But the little SEN children suffer from the vain hopes of growing into full scale HONs.

Unlikely.

Like for tadpoles, life will eat most of them before they can grow into a full scale toad.

Some years ago, coming from YYZ, connecting in FRA to LIN, inbound delayed; LH representative waited for us (3 people) at the exit of jetaway and escorted to the next flight with bus directly on tarmac. Class was economy and no status.
Baggages too did it

when did they start doing this?

some US airlines started doing this (earlier than this year) for invitation status and F class when they would have otherwise missed connecting flight, i think on international arrivals to US, with cars/SUVs to plane, at certain hubs (and some experimenting with car to plane in general for invitation status and celebrities/etc)

LH has RDS in hubs since about 2002, but due to apron limitations in both FRA & MUC, they have only about 10-12 vehicles in operation transferring a maximum of about 40 pax at any given point. Hub control decides who gets this based on various factors like the frequency of flights to the destination, visa status etc.
