LH taking it to the next level: Fight against Star Alliance partners
Seems some changes are coming our way with regards to modification of FFP data.
More details later.

Do these arrogant idiots not realise that each petty move like this loses them additional business.
Successive M&M changes caused me to change *A programs. Further deterioration of service caused me to avoid LH where there was an alternative. Now, I purposely avoid them. Within 4 years they have gone from getting over 40K a year from me to nothing.

Do you have any sources or references on these enhancements? A press release or such, and also when do they plan to come into effect.
So essentially, if I'm flying SAS from Frankfurt and hold *G status on a paid ticket. Does that mean I'm no longer entitled to lounge access?

So you are supposed to stick to one FFP for your trip and not mix and match at your convenience multiple times in one trip. In essence this has been enforced since some time already? I don't see how the *A will come to an end because of it.... And how many really do it...

I must say, LH was best with this respect: only once (in Italy) were I given the "if you want an additional bag you must credit to your SEN account" crap line. Other airlines (UA, CA, LX) were giving me a much harder time, resulting me in avoiding LX after the first occurence. It's just plain stupid...
Accessing the lounges has not once been a problem (except for Italy, but there I've used my SEN number for the return flight segment).
Now I'm Gold with UA and won't have to worry about it any more.
Apparently LH may have noticed that quite a few frequent flyers have switched their earning preferences and they want to make it more difficult for customers to switch by giving them a hard time during the transition period. But I guess LH cannot have both in the end: loyal customers and an unattractive mileage program.
HTB.

And of course the various threads about, oops the miles credited to 'UA or A3 instead of M&M how to fix that'.
With the Altea DCS coming to all stations (MXP and BRE were pilot stations, I think all italian stations are next) I suppose the current practice not to allow FFP changes enroute will be coded into the new DCS anyway.
