If you are talking about EW Longhaul (the topic of this thread), then yes... 'Best' will be the LH PE seat.

I heard that EW is looking for 80 LH pilots to join EW (temporarily?) in order not to have two newly trained EW pilots up front at the same time.
However, it looks like there are no volunteers from LH...

Well, the entry bar to become XG pilot for the EW332 is pretty high (9000h total, 3000 on widebody, 1000 on A330):

The SXD assesment is pretty interesting: http://www.pprune.org/terms-endearme...ml#post8911148

The AOC of Eurowings Europe is being expanded to include longhaul...

http://www.austrianaviation.net/news...ecken-aoc.html

My take is they will transfer the OS 763 to EW when mainline OS gets new A359.

OS is to get 359? Interesting, this is the first time I read about that.

See slide in post #6 in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/lufth...m-19sep13.html

They have placed 25 firm orders and 30 options... OS had to prove the turnaround was done before they get new aircraft.

The first A332 D-AXGA has been retrofited completely in HAM with a new cabin and satcom:

It seems GECAS paid for the interiors too.

looks sort of similar to the AirTanker A332 interiors. No C, just endless Y.

going OT for a bit, but while we badmouth charter seating, the AirTanker 332 had the most generous Y legroom I've ever seen (and 2-4-2 of course).

EW loghaul is having a rough time. D-AXGA was AOG in CUN, the replacement Tuifly 763 D-ATYE went AOG in BGI. Now they chartered a HiFly 343 (CS-TQZ) and Tuifly 763 (D-ATYG) to help out. The new 332 D-AXGB is still not in service pending EASA checks for the retrofit.
