LH Cargo is falling in step with LH passenger and will start naming their birds. Starting with the new 777F in October.
They launched a contest today that will award the winner who's name "idea" is selected a trip to FRA for the unveiling of the 777F in october.
Dont worry, the link doesn't hijack you to my site.....

My desire to ride along would depend on the jumpseat options that LH chose. The space for jumpseat pax looks like it is pretty small--behind cockpit is a lav, galley, and rest, then (maybe) 2m-2.5m to just behind doors 1L/R where there is a bulkhead that separates the cargo area...

I submitted "Weiss Frau", according to Germany myth and fairy tales they were elve-like spirits that would protect treasures. Figure its a metaphor for LH caring for cargo when it transports. I'll know if it works out if Im in FRA in October.....actually either way I'll be there for the event.

LH Cargo has a very nice series on their fb page about the MD11s flying all over from the pilots perspective... they usuall fly from one god forsaken place to another. Being a freight dog is no fun.
