Just don't get bumped and sent to the downgraded Y ...

I'd suffer through 3-4-3 Y on ZRH-NYC if for a bribe.

Don't hey fooled by the propaganda - LX doesn't have the nice BDSM trained crews that LH sports who'd go with the new seats!

Sure they can be naggy and patronising but that won't make your day. But then the return is 6+ hours and overnight, so you may have a point there.

They still might in the summer - training flights aren't just for pilots.

Comparing LH and LX I would vote like is:
Seat: LX (the new LH seat is just horrible for taller people and there is no privacy, no space - just a horrible product in comparison)
Food: LX and LH are on par here - I had good and bad exprience in both
Crew: LX for sure ( LH crews just can not get of a constant customer orientend culture - I believe personally the main problem are the pursers, a lot of them are very experienced but have not reached the understanding that LH in 2016 is different than in the past - customer have choices these days)
IFE: LH ( I personally feel the LH selection is better than LX) here I compare A340 LX and A380 LH

Overall: I prefer the LX C product mainly because of the seat and crew - for F the vote would be the other way - LH first ground and air is just great!

LH or LX in C

I will be travelling from Hong Kong to Europe in July and have the options of taking LH (A380) or LX (777) business class.
The connection and fare are similar.
Any recommendation?

There are a number of discussions on the same topic, and the general wisdom can be distilled as LX > LH (via MUC) > LH (via FRA).

+1 for LX, but if you value connectivity (internet) more than other things then LH.

LX for sure, do they also have the mini-cabin in 777 as they do in 340 and 330? I always look forward for the movenpick ice-cream. :P
