Didn't you see the post about the new HAM-TLS shuttle? It's starting with the new summer schedule by the A346 3xDaily as a ferry service for Airbus employees as well as parts!

Also D-AIHZ which had some type of check 2/14-2/27. How can one tell if this check meant new F being installed?
The A346s are undergoing type specific modifications and that is why they have been visiting the doctor in HAM one after each other. It's also why HQ was ferried directly up to HAM instead of returning to service after it's new F retrofit in MLA. HS is currently in MLA for it's IL-check and new F retrofit.

Thanks. I've updated the first post. ^

D-AIHS was FRA-based. I wonder where it will return after the retrofit.

Indeed,that was my first thought.

I also notice D-AIGY is flying FRA to ICN today. That's a 343.

D-AIFD seems to fly almost exclusively to the Middle East with occasional trips to Africa.

D-AIHT is servicing MUC-EWR today according to the FCL attendant in MUC. If I didn't change my itinerary, I could've flown the new 747 instead...

Both flights are shown as operating A330 or A340's.....

Here is a link to LH's F page: http://www.lufthansa.com/us/en/First..._p=DE&blt_l=en

and one for the A340 and A330: http://www.lufthansa.com/online/port...en&cid=1000390

Here's a You Tube search result from LH F:

http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...5l1018l3.6l9l0

BUT I do not think you will see the new F product unless its a new A330

The following paragraph under Configuration isn't enough.
Since the end of February 2011 the entire Lufthansa long-haul fleet will gradually be fitted with the latest First Class configuration, adapted to the requirements of the respective aircraft types. This refitting has already begun on the A340-300s and A340-600s.
What else is misleading or a downright lie?

"An individually controllable privacy screen..."
"... a temperature regulating duvet, high-quality pillow and an extra soft mattress"
"Efficient under-carpet sound insulation and a soundproof curtain..."
"Lufthansa Media World on your individual 17 inch screen"
and of course
"an elegant bathroom in the new design"

Of course the AVOD, despite the larger screen in the new LH 744 F, the picture quality is simply atrocious!

It looked fine for the 3-4 inch screen on the old config that I just flew on for the second segment!

(But that touchscreen monitor wouldn't even respond to my fingers at all...completely useless)

AVOD screen quality in F is an outright joke in times of HD. But then again who needs it anyway, just bring an Ipad or any other handheld viedoplaying device for that matter..

Could not agree more. As I posted earlier, it's completely misleading. Let's face it,not everyone studies the rate of retrofits like we do. If I was a regular paying customer for F on LH and I got the old F I would be fuming.

LH should continue to maintain the old F on the website, or is it that they are too embarrassed? Particularly compared to their competition...
