The A346 ex FRA will go to retrofit this summer and then move to MUC. DTW was supposed to be served with 346 and F not sold at all (ie virtual 2 class operated with 3 class config aircraft) but they changed their mind on that for some reason.

So, if they have a 744 that has not had F ripped out and they are not selling F, are they continuing the "Buy C, Sit F" program?

Is the plan to change DTW-FRA flights to be two class planes eventually, or will the route be discontinued?

LH 432

The FRA-ORD flight is a 744 with the new business class, but when looking at the fleet maps on LH's website it doesnt even show the upper deck. If if book into J on an award ticket off of United can you select seats in the upper deck or is that for HON members and star alliance elites?

You can book any biz seat. UD is not being blocked.

No plans at all for DTW cancellation. it actually is quite popular with the automotive industry peeps.

just got off the phone with a LH rep who swears that LH 432 is still selling F next july and this flight does have the new business. Im confused because i thought the 744 F was already phased out

I see that too actually...all the way into early August. IMHO, it would be a risky proposition to book LH432 into F because there shouldn't be any 744s left with F

They are using the 346s now between JFK and FRA. Pretty unbelievable.

FRA-based 333 D-AIKA hasn't seemed to flown for a while (no records coming up on Flight 24) - is it being retrofitted?
