Am I one of the luckiest SEN?
My first long haul flight with LX in Jan after being SEN, I got both legs upgraded to C.
Probably my Y ticket was high booking class: B/M.
Or the trick is to fly LX/OS as they don't have PE so Y SEN will be offered to C when overbooking occurs?

In last two years of flying as SEN I have got not even a single upgrade
Different experience over here: In my last 2 years as SEN I got upgraded from D to F about 10 times between GRU and FRA/ZRH. I guess it just depends on all relevant factors, e.g. booking situation, fare, how may HON are on board etc.

Star Alliance Gold, 1K United
17/02: YUL - MUC: Upgraded from Premium Economy (N) to Business Class
18/02: MUC - FCO: Upgraded from Economy to Business Class
Honestly I was surprised as I fly Air Canada much more often and never get an opup - even when the business class cabin is half empty. Either way, nice gesture by LH.

The difference between C and F is small, a little more space and better catering if you are on B773, cannot say about older A340, but I think now all aircrafts have the same layout. 1-2-2, 2-2-1,...in C and 1-2-1 in F.

D class to GRU is well overt 3500 eur, so good for you. Being HON and paying D class, they sure can upgrade you. I am doing the maths...10 times in 2 years...that's brutal. Are u flying every month the same route?

February 2017: LX9 ORD-ZRH C(D) to F.
I was already installed on my Business seat having my welcome drink when the MC approached me. Thought this is the usual HON welcome, but she mentioned she "unfortunately" needs my seat. I happily gave it away for a seat in F.
