P is the lowest earning business class fare. The others (Z, D, C, J) earn more (150% and up in M&M), but of course it depends from FFP to FFP.
No, LH P isn't "promotional", it's their regular "cheapest" Business class fare.

If they run promos, they are usually placed in P as well, but P is available all-year round.

BUD-HKG via MUC and return end of May

So I see fares for BUD-HKG via MUC in L for ~600 EUR for end of May. Does anybody know if they usually run any sales that would bring it down further (maybe in K?) later, or is this as good as it gets and I should book now?

Thanks

If you want to fly LH, I think that's about it - at most you'll save 50ish Euros. However, shop around - you can get other airlines for less. Not *A though.

Thanks. In the meantime I just realized that lower than that would mean no miles for UA MileagePlus, as K doesn't earn anything, not even PQM.

Try LX or OS, they might still get you 100% for K at MP.

Thanks for the suggestion. The lowest LX fare is also L, though about 40 EUR cheaper. I've never been through ZRH, but I doubt that it's worth giving up transiting in MUC alone for that much. How's the on board product in Y on LX compared to LH?

ZRH is easy enough to transit, I wouldn't choose one over another. Y is comparable, unless we're talking 777 then it's tight and I'd rather have LH 2-4-2 Airbus config.

Yep, it sure is the 777 on LX. So I guess I'll stick with LH and the A346, I've been on that plane before.
