Well, I ran into another problem, this time concerning the liability insurance (Haftpflichtversicherung) from Asstel that I took out earlier this year. As I already had a Haftpflichtversicherung a few years ago, it seems that you cannot take out another one and profit from a later miles bonus. This is apparently stated in the conditions (Teilnahmebedingungen) and I did not see this. So watch out, those of you who might have already had an Asstel insurance in the past. For me, it is 40 Euros down the drain, so not too bad but annoying all the same. Here is the text below:
Sehr geehrter Herr Concerto,

It is not stated anywhere but I guess it is 3x base miles, 6x distance in F. Still worth considering, IMO.

A couple more promotions just in.
FOCUS is being offered for €19.60 for 8 weeks and 2,500 miles thrown in. I honestly can't remember when my last short subscription to FOCUS was, so I really don't know if I can participate in this one, but it is quite a good deal for the money paid. It says that miles can only be awarded for one subscription within a 12 month period:

The excitement at the Miles & More credit card continues, with double miles being offered for purchases during the month of August. Don't forget to register and keep an eye out for the usual exclusions:

Some nice offers for magazine / newspaper subscriptions in Switzerland, each giving 10k M&M miles: lesermarkt.ch
the best ratios:
annabelle for one year for CHF 135 = 10k miles
Bilan for one year for CHF 159 = 10k miles
SonntagsZeitung for one year for CHF 174 = 10k miles
Not a bad deal, esxpecially if you actually read thoese magazines or newspapers. Payment seems to be by invoice and for first time subscribers only.
I haven't found any T&C limiting the amount of subscriptions per household or the like.

Why not post those to show what a lousy promo this really is: "solely for transactions online. excluded from the promotion are transactions with rental car companies, hotels, airlines and travel agencies as well as transactions for booking rail travel".
So not even double point when you buy an LH ticket....

Thanks to Goliath for the other promotions. Guess those are for delivery only in Switzerland.
Edit to say that the small print is as follows: Die Abo-Angebote gelten nur für Neu-Abonnenten in der Schweiz bis 31.12.2014.

I also fall for those credit card promo's sometimes... but when I look at the small print it's nearly always almost useless. A few extra hundred miles at the most :-(. The only good thing is that it's "free"...

Apparently, it's 10k for each as per the M&M homepage (only in german, I did not find an english version of the offer):
Maybe I'll give it a try. If so, I'll let you know the outcome.

But which one would you go for, for the money to miles ratio? The only one I might consider is the French language Bilan, which I might actually read. Most of the German chicks I spoke to in recent days wouldn't give something like annabelle a second glance. Maybe they read something more exciting!

Obviously, the cheapest one: annabelle at CHF 135.
You have recently bought miles for CHF 175+ per 10k miles through Coop Trophy - who cares if anybody reads the magazine you get on top for buying the same amount of miles for CHF 135 now through this promo?
