Agreed - If your flights are all on time, you should be fine under normal, non-holiday-travel circumstances.

Airside transfer from T6 to T2 at LAX?

Hi all, at SFO now about to board for LAX onto AKL on NZ and wanted to see if anyone knows if their is an airside transfer between T6 and T2. Also, anyone know if in either terminal there is an electronics store that has voltage converters? None of my local radio shacks had the appropriate one.

Thx!

There is no airside transfer from T6 to T2. In fact, you have to walk across the parking lot unless you take the shuttle.

Sorry, you'll have to exit security at T7 and reclear at T2.

I think the UA T7 at LAX has a store where you can buy converters.

If not, look for the Best Buy vending machines. I don't know for sure that they have converters but they do have several kinds of electronics for travelers.

T6 to T5 via tunnel

I am confused about whether or not the tunnel between T6 and T5 is permanently open. Some posts keep saying IF it is open. I am flying into T6 in January on DL commuter from SLC and then have to transfer to DL SYD flight in T5. I am assuming that if the tunnel is open I can just walk through the tunnel with my carry-on (no checked baggage) and avoid TSA. If it is not open do I have to go through TSA again? I have about two hours for the connection.

I'm not in T6 or T5 very often, so I can't tell you for certain if the tunnel is open, but I suspect it will be.

If that's the case, yes, you can transit behind TSA security. Otherwise, you will need to exit T5 and reclear T6 security.

tranferring airlines in LAX

If we transfer airlines in LAX from domestic flight (American) to a international flight (Korean Air) what would you suggest as the minimum time to do the claim luggage, check luggage, gate change, etc.??

Go down the first escalator, but not the second one, and the shuttle bus stop is right there. The DL Crown Room is in T5 on the mezzanine level between gates 53 and 55.
First, is this bus still running? Second, if I am coming in on an American Eagle flight and leaving on a mainline DL flight, is this the best way to get from my AE flight to T5? Also, how much time should I allow to connect?

I'm not sure if the T5 shuttle still operates, but when you arrive at the AE Terminal just tell the attendant at the shuttles that you need to get to T5. If it still runs when you arrive, they will ask for an itinerary as you may not likely have a boarding pass. However, due to budget cuts, it might only operate on a reduced schedule. Please let us know what happens when you arrive.

One might be able to take an American Eagle airside shuttle between T4 and T5. (Any details on that?)
There IS a walkable airside connection between T5 and T6.

I have a layover between two AA flights and want to visit either the DL or CO club in T5 and T6 respectively.
Anyone able to confirm this? I am flying in on AA and I am meeting someone who gets in to Terminal 5, can I meet them at the gate or do I have to exit security and meet them outside?
