Second Sofitel in Berlin
Accor have signed a contract to manage the Hotel Concorde in Berlin and turn it into the second Sofitel in the city from 1 February 2014.

Novotel to open at London Wembley Stadium
Over on BT:
Accor has announced it will open a Novotel hotel at Wembley Stadium in April.
The Novotel London Wembley will open on Olympic Way, the pedestrianised zone linking Wembley Park underground station with the stadium.
It will be housed in a building originally constructed to be a Park Inn by Radisson property, which was intended to open in time for last year's Olympics but has remained unopen since.
The Novotel will have 235 guestrooms, free wifi, a restaurant and bar, a gym, and two meeting rooms with a maximum capacity of 140, as well as 12 long-stay apartments.

ibis Styles Lleida Torrafarera (March 2014) - this is aparently a former Formule1 property that stood disused for a number of months. If that's true, this would be the first conversion of that kind!

Robert Gaymer-Jones, who was in Australia last week to visit the group's hotels and scout potential new locations, also said he hoped to renovate the ageing Sydney Wentworth Sofitel.
But unfortunately it won't gave the property a view.
