Free Accor Platinum 2013
This offer came up in December 2012, but I hadn't seen it posted here and was working yesterday when I used it:
https://s-leclub.accorhotels.com/enr...UMIACLUBPLAT11
The 2012 thread was closed or I'd have posted there.
To give credit where due, I found it on pointhack (I have no affiliation with them though)

Thanks a lot! I just fell back to the basic status, so signed up again
I rarely stay at Accor but sometimes they do have nice hotels.

This doesn't seem to work for me. I just get "Invalid identification. Please try again or use another e-mail address." Is this only for new accounts rather than existing?

Just use a different email address. I did this once and then asked them to merge both accounts but since I don't have that many points in the older account anyway.... I won't bother.

failed
I just registered through this link and got an email stating classic level. Does this change to platinum later in your experience? The first email I tried was rejected, but I immediately entered another one.

It seems something went wrong, it should come straight as platinum...

Maybe try a different email adress from a different provider (something like Gmail with ".com"). You can later change the email adress.

Edit I did finally succeed by faultlessly entering all the data without error messages. I also did change the country of residence, so that could have been it also.
