Thank you very much for sharing the heads up on this! We tried a booking for Singapore on 25/1/2013 - and the 40% sale price was loaded for our preferred hotel. Might wait until Nov 12th as we should get 50% with Accor Advantage Plus.
It will be interesting to see the dates for this promotion as I need a hotel in Hong Kong on 15/2/2013 and after putting in a booking could not get the discount so expect this date might be outside the promotion period.
Might try some dates in Australia over the Xmas / New Year break and see what comes up too....

I have hung on for this anticipated sale as I am wanting my preferred property in BKK for a 5 night stay over Christmas.
I tried the link for the old offer and it turns out some of the hotels are showing the offer before the official launch date - unfortunately my choice wasn't.
I have just contacted the hotel via FB and a very prompt response has informed me that this property will indeed be participating in the sale from Monday.

i've tried BKK on same period, and, mostly UAE and AMS:
on UAE, only 1 hotel match the promo rate..but the real price is discounted effectively only for 10-18%...i don't know if on next days better rate will be available; at the moment they seems stingy..
i would add also: a Sofitel was rated at 427EUR/night untill last thursday (i checked it!); this night it increased of 100% about (at 843 EU/night), and with the promo appears as 425EUR/night: are they cheating us?
I'm a little bit doubtful... because on the same promo, looking at last year, better prices were available at the beginning of the promo, not when promo became "open to the public"!

The discount always applies on the BAR, so it can be just a "little" less than the best prepaid or promotion rate

Sofitels were always excluded from these promotions. They had their own great promotion a couple of weeks ago (Sofitel Year-End Private Sales 2012)

As olisch correctly stated, as with last year, Sofitel properties are not included in this November event.
I managed to hang on and booked Sofitel hotels in Thailand and Vietnam in their recent sale and as indicated by the contact I have received today, it would seem that most of the Accor Bangkok properties will participate in the sale from Monday.
The link says sale ended for me at the moment but also refers to hotel stays between July and September 2012...
Will have another look on Monday and hope for the best!
