Amex Plat = Le Club Plat (but in 3-4 weeks)

Hi ,

Just in case any fellow Amex Plat card holders in the UK are new members of this scheme, which came online as a new benefit on the 16th July.

Once you enrol on line, it is estimated that your status will not change to Plat with LeClub until after 3-4 weeks.

Whilst this is quicker than SPG or HHonours, its not much help if you have an upcoming Accor stay (like I do on Monday).

Amex travel concierge did speak to LeClub on my behalf to see if the status could be changed quicker but the answer was a resounding "non."

Cheers

I enrolled online on the morning of Monday 16th, through the Amex Plat website, supplying my existing LeClub membership number. I got an email a few minutes ago from Accor welcoming me as a Platinum member, and logging into the website it shows my status as "Le Club Accorhotels Loyalty Platinum"

So, just under 2 weeks for me, guess it depends how quickly you got your application in when yours will turn up... Fingers crossed it's under 4 weeks!

I didn't have an existing Accor account so used the link on the Amex website to sign up for one. Instant Platinum.

I just stated in the Amex forum that my upgrade to Accor Plat took about a week or so. Not bad.

There is a findable link on the internet for a direct Accor Club platinum level for new accounts if you are an Amex Plat holder (including U.S.)
edit: -> the link has now expired

Turns out, the registration via link does not actually verify you are an Amex Plat holder.
Which is a or depending on how you feel as an Amex Plat holder.

Waiting on StarFlyerGold feedback before posting further....

Gah

I called amex who had no idea what I was talking about.

Accor call center agent said to create a regular account and scan my card / screenshot the login and send it through my Accor account to them.

Anyone know a working link?

Here in Canada it's more 3-4 months than "3-4 weeks"...

Yikes! Did you email them through the members area?

That's what I did, and no reply yet, but it's not been long yet. I was hoping they could upgrade me by today, but I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to register my Accor number on the Plat site (seem to be going round in circles!)
