I opened a Plat account using one of the promo codes and have now a Plat account with 0 points and another basic status account with 1,000 points.

As they wouldn´t merger the 2 accounts, I am now wondering whether to forget the 1k in my original account and to start using the Plat account with the 100% bonus points for all my upcoming bookings (IBIS only, so no upgrades etc). Hmmmm......

What would you do?

Thanks but this doesn't give Platinum A-Club membership, just discounted rates and special conditions for certain credit cards.

Well, then either you were lucky or I was unlucky. They would not merge them unless I send them a copy of my CC card (that was related to the promo code used).

Will have to calculate what is better now. Using the old basic account with the 1200 points in it or to use the new Plat account starting with 0 points.

Platinum for free

Recieved an invitation over Flying blue that AClub will match my FB Platinum Status.
I could use my account that I already have to upgrade to Platinum in a few seconds.
Same worked with account of my boyfriend.
Page is in german, I dont know if they control it if you are FB Plat...we are both Plat with FB...but gues not!

I post the link, its in german...there is no code
Only fill in your existing Aclub nummer and the email, thats linked to your account.
Enjoy free platinum membership

Thanks for the link, it worked like a charm. I was down to A|club classic level, entered my number on the website provided in the above link and now I'm Platinum again. I'm FB member as well.

Edit to add: My A|club classic number has changed to my previous A|club Platinum number again (the one I had before I lost the level). And I just received a "Welcome as an A|Club Platinum member!" e-mail.

This is correct, the site does not say you will get platinum but having done it I can confirm you do get platinum, just refresh the screen on your account and it will now say you have platinum. Great bit of advice.

It looks like if you account has already set up for another FFP automatically transferring your points..the promotion may not work.

It keep telling me that I already have a promotion code in my account that allows me transferring points directly. Even after I changed it to Flying Blue, ..I am still getting the same message.

But thanks for posting 24Yuko24

Anyone has the same problem?

FWIW, you can access an English-language page at https://secure.a-club.com/en/burn-ff...=Flying%20Blue.
