Million Miles = 1 Giant Headache!
 

I honestly can tell everyone here on the board that I wish I never ever got sucked into partisipating in this Million Mile Promo. Rather than it being the chance of a life time, it is turning out to be one giant pain in the A--!

After fighting Latin Pass for almost a year back in 2000 it took me almost 1 year to get my miles credited, and my wife only got 500,000 because a rental from thrifty never got posted, and L.P. would not honour it since the rental was under both our names rather than only hers.

Now the last transaction to my account in 2001 was:
03/04/01 - Holiday Inn Hotels 04-Mar-2001 650
This should have kept me going for 3 years without expiry.
My next transaction was:

VH-00861 V POS/CCS , 10/04/03 04-Oct-2003 500

Now look at what someone at Global Pass did to my account:

Miles expired by System on 03/18/04 18-Mar-2004 23374 1000 1000000 Agent Posted 18-Mar-2004

Notice how it reads "Agent Posted".

I have e mailed Global Pass 3 times and faxed once to no avail!

Global Pass I know you monitor this forum SHAME ON YOU!

Have you tried calling them?

Since you had activity in 2003 on Aeropostal from Port of Spain, your account is should be still valid. Give them a call.

can27can27 - sad to read this. What was the amount of points they cancelled - not sure I follow from above.

23374 or 1000 or 1000000?

Hilton were absolutely ruthless this year in cancelling out ANY account with no activity for a year, no matter what your account balance, as far as my reading of the HH board went.

It really has been difficult to use up all the miles. There is only so much time and how many trips can you make to Central America? It was a great experience but you had to learn to dot the iiii's and cross the ttttts. I think you should get your miles back if you had flight in last three years. I certainly hope so. Please keep us updated on your battle!
