A340 seating
Flying SYD-AKL-SCL-BOG in August.
Was wondering firstly with the A340 whether anyone had any experience on LAN in their crew rest seats which sometimes are not used - specifically 12/13 J/L.

Were these booked at the airport if so how hard were they to obtain?

Crew rest seats are reserved for crew, are you thinking you saw pax using them? Never seen that, well, except once, when the wife of the pilot changed her seat to there... or maybe his mistress? Last flight saw someone change over but the FD pretty quickly told her to move back to her own seat.
