A Different $20 Trick in Vegas

I was just out in LV last week, and my buddies and I had a great time. We did however notice one thing....for some reason the bars at the hotels were swarming with hookers !
Not just one or two per bar, but literally in some cases double digits, aggressively pursuing "business".

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a woman walking up to me and telling me, "you look handsome". However when she looks like Sam Breakstone with all the cottage cheese going....well, decency has its limits !

So my question to the board...has anyone else noticed this? Or, did we just happen to pick a special week. (There were eye doctors, insurance folks and athletic training conventions in town).

Vegas and its Sins

It seems like the ladys are more active at certain times and places.
I would tend to agree that it seems like its getting more active
on the strip properties lately. I always love the line.
"Are you in town by yourself ?" It seems because of my age.
50. And the way I dress. Expensive print shirts. I get
plenty of offers whenever we are in town. Another way to tell if its active.
Bars in the strip casinos where there are several ladies all sipping cokes
or bottled water. Thats a dead give away too. Normally this is right after midnight. And not all of them look like Sam Breakstone. There are some real
beautiful girls working the strip. But like anything in Vegas. The nice stuff is
going to cost a bit more $$$$. For all intensive puposes it should be legaliized in Clark County. It sure is going on and the Casinos know it.

It's not only in the bars. Playing VP at 2-3 a.m. on weekdays, it does tend to get a bit deserted. They plop themselves right next to you and try to strike up a conversation. I do get annoyed and tell them so.

I mention this on my website (see the Sex section) and just want to let you know, the major casinos really frown on this big time!

Yes, prostitution is legal in Nevada, but NOT in Clark County (the greater metropolitan area of Las Vegas) and you have to travel quite a distance to find the legal bordellos. But if you are in the market, at least the women at the legal bordellos are good looking, are tested regularly for diseases by the health department, and the businesses are on the up and up, so to speak.

Yes, there are all sorts of areas where less than lovely ladies of the night (and some surprise not-real-ladies) hang out, so to speak, but like any large city, you are risking arrest and any number of diseases and, well - you all know the risks.

FYI, Heidi Fleiss is actually starting a bordello for women called the Stud Farm and according to a recent press release, Mike Tyson will be one of the guys for hire. Don't know how many women reading this will be flocking to her male bordello to pay to have sex with Mike Tyson, but just thought I would mention it. And for guys looking to earn some money, Heidi is also taking applications. Email me and I can provide you with a link to fill out an application (seriously).

At any rate - if any of those lovely ladies are caught propositioning a customer in their casino, generally they are thrown out - and repeat offenders are turned over to the police.

I visited Vegas probably 10 times before rolling through town as part of a road rally last year where some of the guys actually welcomed/sought out the attention. Never noticed before - but once it has been pointed out to you, your experience of walking through the casino floors after midnight will never quite be the same. It has been pretty consistent the 4 times I have been since - about 7 of every 10 women either at the bars or at the slot machines by the hotel elevators fit the profile (the comment about the bottled water or cokes is dead on). For me, it was one of those moments in life where you realize how sheltered your normal life is and that there is a whole other world working around you. Another tip off is that you will notice women by themselves talking on their cellphones - but then they glance up and smile at guys when they walk by. You will wonder how you missed them before.

not totally true, yes the frown on it, but the tend to turn a blind eye to it too, I chatted to a few managers and they said yes, they have hookers in the bars etc and as long as they arent totally obvious they don´t mind at all. I´m guessing as long as they tip well too.

Another dead give away -from all the staff is that they all have really big handbags...

Pray do tell, where did you know this from?

I'd rather have a guy away from the 21 table getting serviced in his room for 1 hour as opposed to away for 3 or 4 hours getting humped in Pahrump.

I just edited it. Put it this way, they worked for me for 3 years. Then I had to retire.

Beverly Harrell, the Cottontail madam was a close friend of my mother. My mom used to ask her why she didn't hiire men. Beverly told her that she had never found one who could work an 8 hour shift...

I am disgusted to hear these activities happen in my beloved backyard and I'd like to stop it. Please tell me the specific bars, the specific activities offered, the costs, how they could be rated (1-10) and if they offer a "locals discount". Did any of them offer to discipline bad boys who have soiled themselves? If you have any individual phone numbers, that would be helpful. Together, we can put an end to the scourge on the city's reputation!

i have some anecdotal evidence.

i saw an undercover security guard at luxor proposition a hooker, then try to take her into custody when she accepted. she tried to get away and he pinned her to the ground.

at the new orleans, i saw 3 security guards trying to force one to leave, and she refused, talking about her "rights." they told her it was private property, and she could leave or they'd call the police and have her arrested for trespassing. not sure how it ended up, but she seemed intent on exercising her rights.

i think the casinos go through phrases of ignoring it, then getting really strict.

More likely security goes through phases of getting juiced and shaking down.

1) Luxor and Manda"lay" bars
2) Take a guess
3) Didn't obtain a quote, but there was plenty of opportunity to comparison shop.
4) From 2-8 on my scale. It seemed to tilt much more towards the lower end.
5) I think some of them accept coupons...if that helps you.
6) For a fee, discipline will be dispensed.
7) Sorry, no numbers. Trust me....they are still there waiting for you.

Good luck with that campaign
