1. When are you coming to town? October 20th - 22nd
2. Why are you coming to town? To celebrate my friend's 34th birthday with some grad school buddies.
3. Where are you staying? The Luxor.
4. When is a good time to meet up? What activities did you have in mind? Not really sure about a good time. Going to see "O" on Saturday night. Will likely be clubbing on Friday night. Definitely playing some blackjack during the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Hmm ... looks like lots of us will be in town that weekend!

It looks like I'll be through LAS on 12 Oct on my drive from SAN to DEN. Don't have hotel or show plans yet. I'm leaning towards MGM and La Reve. I'm flying Mrs. Redbeard out to meet me and drive the rest of the way on 13 Oct.

kaukau May 20 -24

Sh'Aloha from Maui, Mrp Alert! Mrs. kaukau and I sure had a good time drinking, dining, gambling, and swapping FT M/R and U/G stories with you on our recent holoholo to Hawai'i's 9th island, Las Vegas. Thanks for the FT priority luggage tag. I hope all FTers get to hang out w/you in LV! Please add our names again to your list of Vegas visitors, as we booked a second trip in May, for May 20 -24, as soon as we got home from this one!!! Sh'Aloha and Mahalo!!!!!!!

Sh'Aloha back at you. Kakau and Mrs. Kakau have figured out Vegas on the cheap. Triple George was a blast with great food, great drinks, and a scary bum to boot! KENO rocked - I had a blast ticking off the old people telling us to shuush. Locals/tourists alike can learn some great things for Kakau & his soon to be bride. See you next trip, amd enjoy the FT tag. Mahalo-dah!

LonelyFlyer.. where you playing poker? I usually play at Luxor or Excalibur, will be playing on the Monday throughout the day.
Will be staying at MGM and at this stage arriving on Monday afternoon. Pick up car in SFO on 10/30 and leave LAS on 11/10 for LAX and home

Have been surfing the NET for the good oil on games and will playing at Luxor as I certainly am no good thing and it seems like a game I will be comfortable in. Was thinking of checking in to the poker room early evening Monday.

Could arrive earlier depending how thw drive goes but trying to cram a lot into the time before we arrive in Vegas. Was there 2 years ago but did not play poker then. Craps took all my play money. Leave for US 2 weeks from tomorrow

Lonely Flyer,

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you are an NL player DO NOT play poker at Luxor or Excalibur!!!

Both those games are stupid, totally ridiculous games, excalibur is a 1-3 with a 200 max sit down, and the luxor one is even stranger, 1-1-2 with $50 max sit down, and you can pull up another 50 the second you go even $1 below the original 50, so basically you sit down super short stacked! -and they had about 3 prop players there when i played!

If you want a soft, easy low limit 1-2 game, you could do worse then the MGM card room (though again ask if there are any dealers in the game, and NEVER play there after 3am) or just accross the street at Hooters.

I will be at the Venetian from Nov 19 - 22 for the Black Jack tournament. (may cash in some free nights at Paris and stay a bit longer as well).

Then back Dec 1 - 4, again at the Venetian.

Planning to play limit at Luxor. Because I am a newbie I would only play tournament NL

Thought poker room at MGM might be too heavy for me from what I had read. Stayed at MGM 2 years ago and found it very good accomodation wise
