I noticed that it is difficult to obtain LAN award seats with Avios or AA miles.
Is it easier as a member of LANPASS?
Also am I understand that they do not offer one way awards?

LAN uses dynamic award pricing (like most North American airlines). Most flights have award seats but pricing varies. Flights can normally be booked through partners only if there are award seats in the lowest category.

On some routes they don't release seats in the very lowest Y category. For GYE-SCY (Galapagos) I had to join Lanpass, get their credit cards and top up with SPG to get 2 RT to the Galapagos in the next higher Y category.
