767 to 787 ?

Any idea if LAN will be switching from the current Boeing 767 to the new 787 on their LAX to/from Lima route by January?

I'm booked in Business Class but would love to experience the 787.

What are you talking about? LAN has two flights a day from LAX to LIM, and one of them is already a 787 (the daytime flight). It's the other one (the nighttime flight) that is the 767.

The nighttime flight continues on to EZE in the daytime. The daytime flight, IIRC, continues on to SCL overnight.

But since Argentina's economy is not so good right now, I don't know why they'd pick a flight that goes on to EZE for an upgrade (as long they need to keep the 767 flying somewhere.)

FWIW: The 787 flight is operated by LAN proper. The 767 flight is operated by LAN PERU. (I dunno if they allocate planes by LAN subgroup or not.)

LP doesn't have any 787s yet.

thank you for enlightening me. Unfortunately, It is the LP night time flight I'm booked on so won't be seeing any 787's this go around.
