So, ATL flights have AVOD & power, but not the new seats? That's a bummer. Is it ONLY 777 flights that have the new Business Class seats??

On ATL flights, AVOD, power and new J seats will be there. Not new F seats available. All listed flights have new J seats. Only few of them have new F seats.

Of course it is

Wish that had been possible, but if you see the date of the opening post, (3 April) you'll realize that I probably booked my J class ticket much further ahead than 3 weeks.

And the opening post is a translation from Korean from the KE website, so no way for me to have found that info on my own.

Whether or not the seats were old, that still does not excuse the lousy service.

Iad-icn

Can anyone confirm that the new C seats have been installed on the IAD-ICN route? Thanks.

Jfk-icn

Hi everyone, I'm not a freq flyer on KE but am looking at a business trip in the near future. Am I correct in reading that the JFK-ICN direct flights have lie flat seats in business class? From the KE site it looks like they are 747s and then when I go to seat guru all the KE 747s are the old style seats. Can anyone who has flown this route recently confirm?

(I am a Plat on AA so I am weighing AA/JAL to ICN, connecting through NRT, or direct on KE where I have no status. If anyone has any comparisons on the seats, flights, service between the two, please post. I have flown AA and JAL to Asia and thought they were quite good.)

Thanks for your help!

I see. Hope you'll have a chance to see different side of KE.

Mostly yes. Check on delta.com on your travel date.

Mostly yes. Seatguru has only old config 747 seatmap. Check on delta.com on your travel date. On airliners.net, there's a couple of ICN-JFK C class trip report.

FINALLY! Out of my 4 legs on KE, I finally had good service, and the new J seats. Flight 011 from ICN to LAX is newly configured. And the service this time was excellent. Can you imagine that they finally came by with ALCOHOL? I did have to ask for my first drink, but they came with it right away. And they offered wine 3 times with dinner, and also digestives with dessert. Nice and friendly.

Even still, I doubt that I will fly KE again based on 3 bad legs out of 4. Not just the seats, but mainly because of the poor service.

SFO flights receive the new seats/AVOD/ISPS starting 1Jun07 on Tues/Thurs/Sat. The Sun flights are not included.

Right, except between 01 Jul to 31 Aug when 747 runs this route. After then, all 4 weeklies will be upgraded include Sunday.

Also, LAS will see new config KE aircraft from 01 Jul.

After September, DFW and HNL will be the only KE's US destination without AVOD. Oh, and the 3rd LAX (KE015/016) and the LAX via NRT (KE001/002) are also excluded.

AVOD in Economy?

So while I wish I were flying F or J, a Y ticket on miles works just fine for me! I'm on the ATL-ICN flight on the way out mid-may and fly back on the ICN-SFO flight, Sat. June 2. Are there in seat AVOD on the Y class seats on those flights (and would the June 2 flight make the cutoff for the new system), or is this just a business class product? Any info any of you can get me, will help me plan for how many batteries I need to lug around to keep my ipod going for the long flights!

While we're at it, anyone know if flights to and from Vietnam to ICN have any in seat entertainment?

Thanks!
