TSA PreCheck at JFK

Hello,

a search said nothing found

I'm traveling with a party of 6 from JFK on KE. Was originally on a delta flight, but switched due to route cancellation.

I called the DM desk to see if our TSA precheck status would transfer to KE. I was told no there is no TSA precheck at KE at JFK terminal 1.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

Also without pre-check - what would the recommended arrival time be - I'm planning on being there by 9:30 a.m. for a 12:00 flight.

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance

No TSA-pre on KE. 9:30am should give you plenty of time to get through check-in and security.

To be clear for the broader audience, both you and your operating carrier must participate in Pre-Check. KE does not, so OP could not obtain Pre-Check on departure, even if a Pre-Check lane were operating.

I have some vague memory of, as a J pax, being escorted through security by KE staff.
Am I misremembering (could have been JAL or Malaysian, but thought it was KE).

While there is no pre-check line for this flight there is a separate line for First (and possibly business also, don't recall). So you will get to the front a bit faster but you will also have to take out your laptop, liquids, etc.

Recently flew First on Emirates. We were escorted from ticket counter to 1st/biz checkin line which only had 2 other people in line at the time. Escort did not go through with us.

J ticket JFK-ICN, security line

Is there anyone with more recent information? We're flying to JFK-ICN in business class. We have TSA pre-check (and global entry). Will we be escorted through security or have a special line these days at JFK?

KE does not participate in PreCheck.

Pretty sure there is no PreCheck at all in Terminal 1.

If your KE flight were leaving from a terminal with PreCheck, you could buy a refundable ticket on a PreCheck airline, clear security with that ticket, and then cancel it.

Flying out of LAX, lack of precheck is the main reason I dread INTL flights. TBIT doesn't even staff a precheck line, so you would have to walk to T4 if you have a carrier that participates and would like to use it.

Ticket fraud expressly prohibited by all major carriers. We know that at least UA and AA do monitor for this conduct and act accordingly. Nobody here knows what the number of occurences are or what factors lead to the conclusion that it's fraud.
