How to ensure redemption availability?

I want to book first class reward round-trip tickets to Seoul, Feb. 10-17, 2018. With the Olympics, I anticipate it will be very tough to get reward tickets.

How can I maximize my chances?

It looks like reward tickets first become available online a year in advance. I guess I shouldn't wait until Feb. 17, 2017 to book the round trip tickets one year in advance. Instead, on Feb 10, 2017, I should book one-way there. And on Feb. 17, 2017, book the return.

Does that sound right? If I call, can I book more than a year in advance? Any other tips (I've never redeemed SkyPass points before)?

Thanks!

Olympics are on 2018, are you planning 2017 or 2018?
