For now, SIN BNE HAN and some Asian routes. But since the number of seats is nearly the same (difference is only 4 seats in Y class), F/C product is similar (i.e. full flat), and most routes are short and medium hauls, I guess KE and passengers wouldn't mind fleet swapping.

Here's a list of where the aircraft with new seats have been:

Looks like Economy got a small revamp as well with the new IFE from Thales.

I'm guess Thales is for KE's A330, 77W, 787, 747-8
While KE is using panasonic for A380 and 737's

Thanks for quoting my blog. From what I can see they also increased pitch by 1inch overall(not sure I felt when I have ridden on it though). As one of the earlier commentor suggested it does very much look like JAL's one.

For J: Access to window side seat is quite narrow probably I would guess at 50cm. Apparently you can try this seat out in KE's Myoungdong(Seosomun) office. I did not get to take pic of J class but one of the other Korean blog had it... just can't locate it.

According to this article all upcoming Korean fleet will have this seat
(ie A330x6, B77Wx12, B748ix10, B789)

I am sure other readers checked out real life pics of J class but from my personal encounter corridor to get into window side seat is quite small. Not that it's a bad thing just saying. it is very much wall put around existing J sleeper seat. And looks like it will be on all KE planes being delivered - A333, 77W, 748, 789(according to news paper article).

Thales has media release from few years ago confirming that their system will be used on 330, 77w, 787 but does not mention 747-8 for some reason. KE's really mixing different IFE providers for some unknown reason even amongst same line of family aircraft(For instance 777-200 fleet has three different types of IFE installed)

It's too bad that they aren't thinking of installing it on their current A380 fleet. I'm a bit torn though. If I am flying with Mrs. Pathfinder, then the current Prestige Sleeper seat is great. However, when flying alone, the new Prestige Suite is much better in terms of privacy. I think Asiana is giving KE a run for their money in providing more privacy on their A380 and it could be a big factor for ICN-US flights.

Maybe KE is testing the new J seats out on other aircraft before putting them on the A380's to see how customers like it.

I wouldn't worry about it since ICN-LAX-GRU is being downgauged to A330.

ICN USA routes

Anyone know of any planned routes for the new seating? And when?

I'm likely going to the USA in August or September and would love to try the new seating (specifically F)

The first confirmed flight for the new J suites are for ICN-LHR on the B747-8. Unless KE flies the 748 or their new A333s to the US, we won't be seeing the new J suite.

AFAIK, there is no new long-haul F suite that would replace the current Kosmos Suite. The new F seat we are talking about here is nearly the same as the J suite similar to how the current Prestige Sleeper seat and the intra-Asia F seat are nearly the same.

I was thinking of what was said in this article

http://skift.com/2015/02/06/korean-a...stige-suite/#1

that there would also be a new first class

Interesting. Thanks for that update. I might have to go sleuthing on the Korean blogs to see what I can find...

I believe the reference to the "new First Class" in that article is simply their new A330 F seat which is more or less the same seat as the Prestige Suite (just like the previous seats).

I am not aware of a new follow-up to the Kosmo Suite right now.

Uhhh, no. The regional F hard product is the same as the Long-haul J product. The long-haul F product is different.
