Hotel night at ICN included?
Finding it hard to find this info out online, before I bother calling up Korean Air can anyone tell me if they do in fact put you up in the Hyatt at ICN if you're overnighting there and flying with them the next day?
Route is AKL-ICN-LHR and its at the end of August. Returning via ZRH-ICN-AKL.
I read on some places that there are staff in arrivals at ICN that hand out vouchers for the hotel on arrival, then I read on other places that you must get your travel agent to book. I booked direct with Korean's website...hmmm

Called them up and sure enough they will put us up each way in a hotel of their choice. Here's hoping its a good one. Great service, very impressed. Qantas have never put me up anywhere during any of my frequent transits of Hong Kong over the years.
Korean should make it clear that they offer this service, I only knew because of heresay.

That must have to do with the fare class you purchased. I can't imagine them putting you in the Hyatt if you purchased the discount economy fare

We flew with them and had the cheapest fare available and they put us up in the Hyatt overnight, we also received vouchers for dinner, breakfast & lunch.
we are a family of four with two young children and they gave us two rooms which were interconnecting.
We were also flying to AKL from LHR and we very pleased with the flight. The cabin crew are very friendly and the meals were very nice and the leg room for economy was fine.

Normally, if you're on a KE operated flight and transit through ICN (with an overnight stay), they most likely will put you up in the Hyatt Regency ICN! KE has a mutual agreement with Hyatt and unless Hyatt is full, they will accomodate you elsewhere. This is regardless of which fare you purchase on KE (even if it is a Discount Economy fare). I have always been put up at the Hyatt on my transit stays at ICN.
Just to make sure, it doesn't hurt to ring the KE office and ask how to redeem this privilege!

For future reference to anyone searching for info on this, it seems only one fare class included the overnight at the Hyatt, our return leg ZRH-ICN-AKL was booked in a different fare that didnt include the stopover.
Still the one on the up was excellent, fantastic dinner and breakfast buffet included and full use of the Hyatt's pools, casino, spa etc. Very nice way to break up a long journey.
On return we checked in at a cheap hotel nearby that was actually just as good as the Hyatt and made for a fine stopover.
Service on board all flights was excellent, legroom also fab! IFE was a bit dated with not so many good movies or TV but was fine. Food dissapointing, I'd looked forward to the Bimibap but it was average and the three western meals I had were pretty poor compared to other airlines of late. But all in all a great experience for KE and the best legroom in Y by far!

I'm flying JFK-ICN-SYD in January on an F ticket booked with KE miles. Stopover in ICN is a bit over 24 hours (because there are no reward seats available on the flight to SYD departing 2 hours after we arrive in ICN)
Any chance KE will put me up in the Hyatt?

I wouldn't expect it - you are not departing on the next flight.
