Upgrade request on KE domestic...

Any idea how easy it is to request a domestic upgrade on the Korean air domestic network? I was planning on going economy to prestige gimpo to jeju return on the a300 late December to early January... and what are the chances of getting it?

If you want a Prestige seat, you are more than welcomed to pay for it at any moment. There is no such thing like upgrade request on any domestic KE flight. If you pay for it, the chance is 100%. Otherwise, no chance. I understand that they used to assign foreigners in Prestige cabin for free, but not anymore.

Then you should have mentioned that you are using miles in your original post. I do not know about using miles. Clarify your question to get a better answer next time.

If you were talking about FREE upgrade.

I believe there aren't upgrade request on KE flight with DL Skymile status.

You may use skymile to get award ticket on KE, they don't honor your status with DL.

If you are talking about using skymile to upgrade with your purchase coach ticket,

You also can't use DL miles to get upgrade ticket.

Class upgrade with using partner miles aren't allowed. I believe it's same with China airlines and few other code-shares.

Only way to get business class ticket on KE using DL skymile is get business award ticket using DL miles.

BTW, difference between coach and business on Jeju flight is about $35.
It's like 50min flight. Less than 1hr and 30min w/ taxing.
