First revenue flight is Friday (ICN-NRT-ICN, then a return to HKG).

Anyone flown Prestige Class on the 380 as yet?

I currently have reservations in the forward Prestige cabin in Feb/2012. Can anyone who has flown Prestige Class on the 380 provide a description of the service, etc and spacing of rows for a 6' + flyer. My only other prestige experience was the lie flat but at an angle.

I was hoping there would have been a posting here about this, but everyday I look and there aren't any.

I found this very comprehensive review though:

Hope this helps!

So when are next A380s coming? Will there be any additional A380 routes then?

Really sloppy update….they claim it has 10 floors and call it A360 in "A380 through numbers"…

Well, the A380 is really 10-storey tall. 747 is probably like 6-7.

Also, planned A380 service to Bangkok, is CANCELLED.

This is interesting. It looks to me that KE doesn't want to delay JFK (starting Aug 9th) even with not-surprising 1-2 week delays of deliveries. 2nd A380 began revenue flight yesterday (7/20). I'm not sure when 3rd one comes - initial plan must have been 8/9 or before. I think one of NRT and HKG (daytime) flights will be canceled from 8/9 until the 3rd A380 is delivered, for JFK upgrading.

F/C demand on BKK route is very bad and KE's A380 has too many premium class seats, so A380 shouldn't be planned on this route since the beginning. Many KE's A380 trip reports say that there are only handful passengers on the 2nd floor even for NRT/HKG flights which usually have better F/C demand.

Planned 737-900ER (73J) service to BKK is also canceled. (So BKK lost both new 388 and 73J aircraft)

The 2nd A380 for the time being is operating as extra flight on ICN NRT KE8703/8704 from 28JUL11 to 08AUG11 (Day x23).

JFK will get A380 service from 09AUG11, but operates 3 times a week, which is unchanged since it got postponed from 02AUG11.

I wonder if there will now be a delay because of the engine pod strike at NRT...

From 8/9 till 8/24, except Monday, HKG daylight flight (KE603/604) goes to 744. Obviously 3rd 380 is coming by 8/25. In this rate, 4th one will be delivered at around 9/25, on time for CDG upgrading. (There is a month gap between the productions of 3rd and 4th 380.)

In addition, daily flight to PEK will be 380 temporally from 9/11. It's KE853/854, 1900 departure from ICN and 2115 depart from PEK. Nice aircraft utilization, and an huge upgrade from 738.

Got some crazy mileage run (if you can call it that seeing as it spans 3 airlines) going in October/November.

However, the twist is, I only fly on A380s if I can help it! ^

I wanted to enquire, is the KE A380 service LAX-ICN still going to go ahead as planned? I did a trial booking on the KE website for Thursday 27 October and it seems this plane will be an A380. Decent price too, IMO.

LHR-SIN-NRT-LAX-ICN-DXB-LHR ^^^ 60HRS!
