Duct tape and aluminum foil keeping the F50's flying!
So I did another AMS-LCY-AMS trip today. The aircraft both outbound and inbound had some rather interesting repairs done to it: part of the paneling running along the side of the cabin (near the air vents and reading lights) seemed to be held together with duct tape and aluminum foil. Looked very improvised.
I guess they've outsourced F50 maintenance to McGyver Aviation Technologies now. They probably have new emergency procedures too:
"Mayday mayday, rubber band #5 has broken! Switching to auxiliary hamster power now!"
Etc.
If only VLM had a late flight out of LCY...
