A few questions re KLM youth fares...
Hi,
ITA Matrix is showing an "R" class youth fare BLL-AMS-ZWE, (with the second leg by train - ZWE=Antwerp).
Two questions....
1) I can't seem to find a way to book this using either KLM or an OTA. Any thoughts?
2) The youth fare is cheaper than the child fare. One of my kids qualifies, the other two are too young. I assume I would be opening myself up to an additional collection and a lot of grief if I was to try and book the 10 yr old & 7 yr old as youth, rather than child...
Many thanks
Tony

I checked expertflyer and it doesn't show as a youth fare - just an R with an additional 25% off for 2-11.
I have not heard of KL offering youth fares or discounts, though they might, like other carriers, through a specialized OTA (e.g. studentuniverse). R has to be available and likely isn't on the days you want to book.
