Camera view on IFE?
I saw two new options on the flight tracking screen today. "Pilot view" and "earth camera". Neither of them showed anything but then again the flight tracking itself only showed a blank screen after about 90 minutes into the flight. This was on an A333. Is this something that is actually new or have I just not noticed it before ?

I've only ever seen actual camera views on A380s...I'm not familiar with the KL A330 but I suspect it may have just been an alternate "perspective" rather than a camera.
The 787, for instance, has this "cockpit" perspective in the moving map
This sort of "cockpit" perspective is available on other airlines/IFE systems, too, along with various other ways of playing around with the maps.
I suspect this is probably what the "Pilot view" and "earth camera" relate to - ways of interacting with the moving map system.

The KL 330's have those camera's for some time. iirc saw it on several times on AMS-AUH-AMS flights when they used (now operated by 787's i believe)
