Transfer KL-flight-> MS-flight

This Christmas my wife and I have a trip to Bangkok and Taipei. We bought a return business ticket on MS (Egypt Air) to BKK.

(Yea... I am one of those guys who made the change from FB to Star Alliance. Couldn't resist this MS-flight AMS-BKK business for 1040 euro in christmas time! I know there is nothing to be expected, but it earns 200% miles )

For the segment BKK-TPE KLM is the far cheapest with 150 euro all-in economy and 250 on business. So we're thinking to book this one.

On the way back, we would like to go without stop-over in BKK. KLM arrives in BKK at 22:40 and MS-flight to CAI departs at 0:50. This is quite tight, as we're travelling on seperate tickets.

My question is: is it adviceable to take this KL-flight and is it possible to check-in luggage in Taipei for both KL and MS-flights??

Your replies will be appreciated!

I doubt whether they will check you in for the MS flight in TPE.
They MAY label your luggage for both flights but because of the two tickets and the short time in BKK I would not count on it.
KL's ground time in TPE is very short (although the flying time is often shorter than published) so the risk can be quite big for a late arrival in BKK.

I'm pretty sure that MS & KL have an interline agreement, meaning that you'll be able to have your bags tagged in TPE for your whole itinerary (even if they are on separate tickets). But, in TPE, KL won't give you a boarding pass for your MS flights. So arriving in BKK, you'll have to go to the transfer counters (which you will find conveniently located at the crossing of the different concourses) to have your MS BP. You need to be at the transfer counters before the limit time for check-in for MS, which is 1 hr before flight time. This means checking-in max at 23:50 and you land at 22:40 from TPE. So you have a good hour of margin ==> it's feasible IMO
