Popular Wakayama stationmaster dies at 16

This cat singlehandedly turned around a money losing railway, and was the likely successor as global head of public relations at Toyota before her untimely demise.

There is already an acting station master Nitama in place of deceased station master Tama.

We all are disposable and replaceable…

There will be a memorial service at Kishi station on Wakayama Electric Railway on Sunday, June 28 12:30 p.m. There is no parking space at Kishi station and all attendees are encouraged to take trains.

I saw this on the news Monday. If a poor person dies nobody cares. If a homeless cat dies, nobody cares. This cat dies? A ton of people turn out, and it's on the news.

Nitama? How about the reincarnation of Tama, Tama-Lama-Ding-Dong?

This was no ordinary cat but station master, feline grade.

Aww, I hoped to meet her one day.
A true life of service well lived, a real Japanese fairytale.
